Sir Tom Hunter
Sir Tom delivered an entertaining ‘ blether’ as part of a series of Carnegie Lectures organised by the Trust. In 2013, Sir Tom received a Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy award and regaled the sell-out audience with stories of his own journey to becoming one of Scotland’s most successful businessmen. Sir Tom described how he went on to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Andrew Carnegie, by developing a strategy to distribute his own wealth to help others through the ‘Hunter Foundation.
The Trust is always looking for new ways to highlight the unique life and legacy of Andrew Carnegie and the trustees were grateful to Sir Tom for sharing his story.
