At their Board meeting on 31 October, the Trustees awarded grants to the following groups:

Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park - £3000 towards the costs of an extension to the peacock sanctuary creating more space for all the birds and an area for those that are poorly. The peacocks are looked after by a team of dedicated volunteers and attract lots of visitors to the park.

Dunfermline Regeneration Trust - £4860 towards the equipment required for a film studio in Fire Station Creative for the Dunfermline Media City project which aims to make Dunfermline a centre of excellence for digital film and television production.

Townhill Primary School - £5000 towards a trim trail to be installed in the school playground as part of the school’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

Fife College - £1400 towards storytelling sessions, as part of the college’s 125th celebrations, at 6 local primary schools and at the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum which will entertain and educate pupils about George Lauder and Andrew Carnegie and the founding of Lauder Technical School in 1899 - which later become Fife College.
