At their Board meeting on 29 August, the Trustees awarded grants to the following groups:
Firewalk Scotland - £2500 towards workshops in 14 local primary schools where P7 pupils will be challenged to undertake a bare foot Lego walk and karate style board break with the aim of encouraging the children to overcome challenges and limitations in preparation for the move to high school.
Fife Gymnastics Club - £850 towards specialist coaching for the club’s members who train at Bruce Street Centre.
Starcatchers - £1000 towards a fun day in Pittencrieff Park for this creative arts charity which supports babies and young parents living in proximity to the justice system and dealing with domestic violence, poor mental health and isolation.
Bowls Scotland/West Fife Bowling Association - £1398 towards the purchase of junior bowls and Bowls Buddies for use in a school bowls programme.
Dunfermline Photographic Association - £395 towards an event with guest speaker to celebrate the Association’s centenary in 2025.
Fighting Chance Project - £1500 towards the purchase of new judo mats for this charity which works with underprivileged children and young people.
